People moving to West Grove often feel they are moving to a rural area with no shops or restaurants nearby. This is so far from the truth as we have some excellent restaurants and plentiful shopping.

Let's look at restaurants, Talula's Table in Kennett Square is often cited as a top restaurant in the Philadelphia region. And for good reason, it is very much one of the first farm to table options in the area. With only two tables it is also a very hard place to get a reservation. The menu is always fixed and while not cheap, the quality of the food is outstanding. The two tables allow for small and large dining. We have reserved the Farm table, which will seat up to 12, pictured above, twice and never had a problem finding people to attend. It is also a BYOB, so those who love their wines can bring their favorites to enjoy with the meal. The second table seats 4-6 I believe. You do need to book ahead or ask to be put on the waitlist for a cancelation.

Kennett Square is actually a great place that is nearby, with plentiful restaurants, and shopping often recognized as a friendly destination for visitors. In the opposite direction you have Oxford and Nottingham both of which offer dining opportunities. Then in many of the smaller villages dotted around West Grove you can find hidden little gems, like Daddy O's in Kemblesville, another BYOB that is family owned and makes a range of American style homemade dishes.

West Grove has Twelves Cafe and Restaurant, along with its own micro brewery The Stubborn Goat plus some pizza and Chinese take out for Mexican food, another BYOB locations. Jennersville has a range of dining options, The Corner Cafe, Two SP, Aurora Pasta and Pizza, Zen Modern Asian Restaurant, and Fajitas Y Salsa these last three all BYOB locations.

If you are willing to go a little further there are even more options in Delaware with Chrstiana Mall for shopping, Hockessin, and Wilmington for shops and dining. In PA there is West Chester with more plentiful dining options and about a half hour drive. Plus there are plenty of restaurants in Glen Mills and Chadds Ford as well.

So, there is no reason to go hungry or thirsty, and with plentiful shopping options you will always look well dressed.
